Museum director, curator, art educator - and a successful cultural manager: Dr. Leonie Reygers (1905 - 1985) was an important personality for Dortmund and the region. The founding director and long-time director of Dortmund's "Museum am Ostwall" - today the site of the Baukunstarchiv NRW - was considered an ambassador of modern art and a pioneer of art education.

In January 2026, a permanent exhibition in honor of Leonie Reygers will open at the Baukunstarchiv NRW: In the new "Reygers Lounge", the permanent exhibition "The Museum Director" traces the decades of museological and curatorial work of art historian Leonie Reygers.
