Vernissage: EMERGING MOTHERHOOD

In the organizer's words:

The installation EMERGING MOTHERHOOD by Kaya Leonie Pilsner can be seen at the hr.fleischer kiosk on Reileck from February 10 to March 8, 2026. It is the sixth collaboration between Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle and the hr.fleischer association.

The work EMERGING MOTHERHOOD examines personal, collective and social facets of motherhood - between ruptures, longings and ambivalent feelings. The starting point is the question: What can motherhood be today? The installation combines photographic, iconographic and performative elements and understands motherhood not as a purely biological role, but as a socially, politically and culturally malleable space of possibility.

The project was selected by a jury from all students and teachers at the BURG. The cooperation between the art academy and hr.fleischer Kiosk e.V. is to be continued in the coming years. You are cordially invited to the vernissage on February 09 at 19:00.
