In the organizer's words:
Vernissage at the Brauereiteich
The Kunstverein Gehrden invites you to the vernissage of the exhibition "Biocoenoses 52,31°N 9,60°E" by the artist Sina Heffner.
The opening will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 6 pm at the Brauereiteich in Gehrden.
Sina Heffner's work deals with the relationship between humans, animals and nature. Her drawings, installations and objects move between plant and animal forms and address ecological relationships and interdependencies within natural habitats.
The exhibition will be presented in two locations. The first is a site-specific installation in the public space at Brauereiteich. On display are sculptures that seem to grow out of the pond.
Following the opening, the second exhibition unit in Gehrden Town Hall, Kirchstraße 1-3, will be visited. Further works by the artist can be seen there: Sculptures, drawings and special objects.
The title "Biocenoses" refers to communities of plants, animals and microorganisms that are closely interrelated. This principle forms the conceptual foundation of the exhibition.
The exhibition can be seen from May 23 to July 19, 2026 and takes place as part of the IntraRegionale. The brewery pond is open to the public at all times. The exhibition in the town hall can be visited during opening hours.
