VERSACER // Support: NIL

VERSACER live and hustle in Berlin, Munich, Hanover, and sometimes in New York. Since 2020, VERSACER has been releasing singles that oscillate somewhere between 90s guitar rock and 00s East Village indie clubs and have been playing on radio stations in Germany and sometimes Chicago ever since. On October 27, 2023, the debut album was finally released: "nothing was gonna happen if i didn't say anything".

While bassist Lasse Altmark, frontman Julian Knobloch-Krippner and drummer Jeremias Otto are full-time musicians, keyboard player and sister Marlene Knobloch works as a journalist and published the generation-critical essay "Serious Shit" in 2023. All four of them worked on the 13 songs, and so there are political, critical lines as well as personal sentences from thoughtful nights. With "nothing was gonna happen if i didn't say anything", VERSACER has found its own, instantly recognizable sound. In the end, the debut album celebrates one thing above all: the irreplaceable, chaotic energy of a band.

Founded in Leipzig in 2021, the band NIL draws on the diversity of shoegaze, post-punk and noise rock. Spherical, energetic guitar sounds are combined with a powerful, driving rhythm section and raw vocals. The lively dynamics create a contrast of dreaminess and kawumm.
