On December 17 at 7 pm, the last edition 2025 of the discussion format "Vierte Schicht" will take place at the Kunstverein Wolfsburg. Thomas Koprucki welcomes Benedikt Jahnel at the counter of the Kunstverein.

Shortly before Christmas at Schloss Wolfsburg, people are improvising rather than calculating: Benedikt Jahnel is a mathematician, jazz pianist and head of the internationally acclaimed Benedikt Jahnel Trio, who has performed at the Hallenbad cultural center in addition to numerous international concerts.

As a mathematics professor for applied stochastics at the TU Braunschweig, he researches the role of chance in dynamic communication networks. Together with Thomas Koprucki, Benedikt Jahnel will talk about what connects creative improvisation with mathematical precision and how Persian poetry merges with jazz in the band project Cyminology. Benedikt Jahnel has personally curated the playlist for the evening - an evening to be surprised by.

The event will take place at the bar in the Kunstverein Wolfsburg, entrance via the staircase in the rear left tower. As always, there will be music and drinks to round off the evening with good conversation. And of course: Free admission!
