With Villagers, lovers of pop music in an acoustic guise can look forward to another highlight in the Pop Seasons spring 2024: Irish musician Conor O'Brien, aka Villagers, will be performing a solo set at the Christianskirche in Hamburg-Altona on May 30, 2024.

After O'Brien recorded the incredibly multi-faceted album Fever Dreams with his project Villagers in 2021, the award-winning Dublin singer/songwriter, instrumentalist and playwright is now returning with the intimate new album That Golden Time. The difference: the previous album was the result of intensive collaboration with the band, this time O'Brien initially worked on the material alone. The new tracks came from deep inside him, so he found it almost impossible to let anyone else in until the mixing stage.
