HOPpalla – we’re throwing a festival! The House of Pumps collective (HOP) is back—with VIOLET #4 in XXL! What usually lights up for a single evening is now becoming a three-day space for queer art and community. For the first time, the doors are opening for an entire festival weekend: Come as queer as you are—and stay that way. We kick things off on Friday with a performance, arriving, reunions, getting to know each other—and dancing! We’ll kick off the festival weekend with a performance and then head to the Pumpenhaus foyer for a get-together. Saturday really gets going—with workshops and the fourth VIOLET night: catwalk, magic, performance, DJs. Honest as always: Everything is optional, nothing is mandatory—we only promise that it will be wild, queer, and unexpected. And because every good weekend deserves a good ending, on Sunday we’ll wind down together with a relaxing movie and community vibes. Can you smell the popcorn yet? Are you ready to get VIOLET?

Saturday kicks into high gear—with the fourth edition of VIOLET: theater, a magic show, and DJ sets come together before the legendary queer party takes over the Pumpenhaus until the early hours of the morning. Wild, queer, unexpected—everything is possible, nothing is mandatory.

Unattended coat hooks are available for your jackets. Please do not bring large bags or backpacks.

Getting there: We recommend walking or taking a bike/bus (N82 from Münster Central Station to the Pumpenhaus Lublinring stop). Parking is not available.

Dance Workshop - La Défilé with Sebastian Knipp (7 spots)

La Défiléis a short, choreographed catwalk performance created during a workshop. Inspired byqueer cultural moments, it focuses on visibility, self-expression, and presence. We’ll present what we create in the workshop (if you’re interested—it’s not a must!) together on the iconic VIOLET catwalk right in the middle of the party!

Drag Pre-Party – Introduction to Drag Art as a Pre-Party Ritual (6 spots)

This workshop teaches the basics of drag: makeup, character development, and above all, fun. In 3–4 hours, looks, jokes, and connections are created. Experience drag as a communal practice—and take over the party together at the end. No prior experience is necessary, just curiosity!

Lambe-Lambe(Theater)
Lambe-Lambe theater is a miniature form from Brazil: short plays in small boxes, each for one person. Through an opening, you watch scenes with characters, lighting, and sound. The format is mobile, intimate, and often poetic—theater as an immediate, surprising one-on-one experience.

Ursula’s Tea Room (Installation)
A hot brew steams, mysterious objects shimmer, moray eels lurk in dark corners. The sea witch Ursula invites you to her Tea Room in her cave. Spill the tea: Are queer-coded Disney villains really evil—or just doomed to their roles? And what do they actually do in retirement? An evening full of thrills and delights.

Chubby Go Go - Queer Menu (The Bougie Buffet Edition) (Performance)
Chubby Go Go is back at it, inviting you to his “Queer Menu.” This time, he’s serving up his own queer biography as an “All You Can Eat” buffet! You can look forward to more appetizing performance snacks—sometimes bittersweet, sometimes hot and spicy! For foodies and junk food freaks—there’s something for every taste! Bon appétit, baby!

Cosmo & the Universe(Magic Show)
Cosmo & The Universe blur the lines between appearance and reality. Fire shows, magic, and glitter meet queer magic. Cosmo combines illusions with political questions, while The Universe amplifies the spectacle with drag, physicality, and pathos. A performance that blends magic, pop, and political theater.

Queer Lapdance Collective – Queer Lapdance(Performance)
Too loud, too sexy, too shy? The Queer Lapdance Collective rejects normative labels and celebrates queerness as wild, self-empowered, and rebellious. Here, lap dance becomes powerful, playful, dark, or angry—but always hot. Trans Gods, Daddys, Enbys, Dykes, Butches, and Queens take over the stage. Consent remains key!

DJ fen.chill
fen:chill (she/her) is your local fave with deep roots in the queer scene and a special connection to the Pumpenhaus. Her sets move between melodic techno and house, blending light and dark, introverted and extroverted moments. Expect playful elements, atmospheric soundscapes, and a bassline that carries you far, far away.

Starting at 1:35 a.m.

DJ Goldie
Goldie is firmly rooted in the electronic music scene. Her sets, blending house, deep percussions, and surprising sounds, are energetic and crowd-pleasing. As co-founder of the Dresden-based label fragmented:, she combines music, art, and politics, shaping the scene far beyond the dance floor.

The Catwalk
Violet’s legendary Catwalk is an invitation to fun, dance, and pure expression: “come as you are, as queer as you are.” Here, everyone becomes a star, moves freely, plays with the stage, and celebrates the night. A space full of energy, glitter, movement, and queer self-empowerment on the dance floor.

Please decide on an arrival time and come in an outfit that suits you and that you feel comfortable in. Come glammed up or get glammed up at VIOLET!

If a time slot is fully booked, please select another one and/or check back later to see if new slots have opened up. Additional tickets may become available. We cannot guarantee that tickets will be available at the box office on the night. Please be sure to arrive within the time slot you have chosen to avoid long wait times.
