Songs for the Asking
With Vocado, we can not only look forward to an ensemble from Sweden, but also to one of our first competition winners: the group from Dalarna won the 2nd Leipzig a cappella Award in 2008, four years after it was founded. Warm, natural and with an enchanting sound, the sextet will now renew the bonds from back then with us. After winning various other awards (including the Swedish Choral Association's "Choir of the Year" award in 2012) and numerous international concerts, Vocado is now celebrating its 20th anniversary. Their current program "Songs for the Asking" combines the music of Simon & Garfunkel with folk songs from their homeland and their own songs and arrangements.
