Who was Hadewijch of Brabant? In the middle of the 13th century, she wrote poems, visions and letters in the Antwerp area, which repeatedly deal with the Minne, the mystical love between God and man. The mystic searched for it in nature, in spring, in the course of the stars. Her poetry is not pensive, but surprisingly sensual. VocaMe brings these texts to us in the colorful sonority of historical Renaissance instruments and combines them with works by the even older Hildegard von Bingen (1089-1179). The ensemble's music-making is characterized by the improvisational arrangement of rudimentary notations - an art!
