From meme to majority - social media in election campaigns
Workshop leader: Luca Heilmann, deputy state chairman of Jusos Baden-Württemberg
Anyone who understands social media and uses it strategically can shape entire election campaigns - examples such as Mamdani, Trump and Reichinnek show this impressively. At the same time, digital communication works completely differently to traditional political public relations work.
This workshop provides a compact insight into the mechanisms of modern communication on Instagram, TikTok & Co: What content works - and why? How do reach, trust and mobilization come about?
In the second part, we will transfer the knowledge we have learned to practice on the ground: together we will develop concrete ideas on how candidates can be supported in the election campaign on social media.
