In the organizer's words:
Twenty-five children from Funke Elementary School in Dortmund’s Dorstfeld neighborhood spent a year exploring various aspects of light and shadow through artistic inquiry as part of this project. The results include projections, collages, cyanotypes, and installations that capture the versatility of this ubiquitous phenomenon. With this exhibition, we invite you to discover, dream, smile, and continue creating.
The entire project was carried out as part of the federal program “Culture Makes You Strong—Alliance for Education” in collaboration with the Mehrgenerationenhaus Mütterzentrum Dortmund e.V., the Funke Elementary School in Dortmund-Dorstfeld, and uzwei at the Dortmunder U.
