Vomito Negro is Latin (Portuguese/Spanish) for "black vomit" - the final stage of yellow fever, when the patient vomits his rotten intestines and eventually dies. Macabre? Vomito Negro's interest in the darker side of human existence could be considered unhealthy, but in fact it stems from a desire to understand and come to terms with life (and consequently death) as we know it. Vomito Negro approach their themes with fierce sarcasm and/or deep personal consternation, but beneath the surface they convey a message of redemption, passion and purification.

Vomito Negro's synthesized psychodramas range from danceable to contemplative, from instrumental and ambient to vocal-driven and brutal. Live, the sound and imagery of Vomito Negro's stage show is an inescapable force that captures the imagination of listeners and spectators alike.
