The coastal rainforest in British Columbia is an important climate protector thanks to its impressive old and giant trees. The maintenance of this important forest system is also in the hands of the First Nations living there. The cedar in particular is irreplaceable for many of them.
The exhibition Ts'uu - Cedar. Of Trees and People highlights the meanings of the forest in the context of colonial exploitation and commercial use. During the guided tour, a mediator and an expert will discuss whether some of the First Nations' approaches can be transferred to local processes of change.
