Eureka is a bird that spreads its wings wide and flies. Across landscapes, across national borders, across the American continent. Detached from space and time. It sees violence and the exploitation of people and nature. And it is the central theme of a film that moves somewhere between western, contemporary and fairy tale.
Argentinian filmmaker Lisandro Alonso himself says that he likes to relinquish control when he makes films. He doesn't stick to genres and is far removed from long dialogs. Instead, he lets aesthetics and silence speak for themselves. "I hope people are curious enough to discover connections," says Lisandro Alonso about EUREKA.
Let's discover connections together and be curious.
