First Advent with bees, beekeepers & candle workshop

Always follow your nose: On the first day of Advent, the scent of beeswax and fresh waffles wafts through the Galerie im Depot. Susanne Beringer - artist and beekeeper in one - not only brings creative ideas for pouring and rolling candles to the Kultur Camp, but also has plenty of background information on bees and the wonderful material wax.

There will also be delicious waffles and a chat or two around the campfire. A great opportunity to start the Advent season and make your own candles. The workshop is free of charge and the materials are provided. Children under the age of 12 are best accompanied by an adult.

The workshop is part of the culture camp.

A bit chaotic, quite cozy and, above all, a colorful mix - a wide variety of groups, courses and workshops will be setting up camp at the Kultur Camp in the Galerie im Depot from December 2 to 10, 2023.

They all gather around the indoor campfire and have one idea in common: to turn the small space in the former streetcar workshop into a meeting place for artists, board game fans, people from the neighborhood and, last but not least, the Depot residents themselves.

We draw, play, chat and read aloud. Small works of art, new friendships and fragrant candles are created. The culture camp offers space for exchange and networking, for sociable afternoons and cozy evenings.

Whether big or small, professional or amateur, human or honeybee - everyone comes together at the culture camp and gets to know each other as well as the depot as a meeting place.
