Waidmannsheil! Eine Kostümführung zum Jagdwesen der Württembergischen Könige
In the organizer's words:
Good hunting!
A costumed tour exploring the hunting traditions of the Kings of Württemberg at Bebenhausen Castle
Join hunter Karle Lederle (alias Holger Starzmann) on an entertaining journey into the world of courtly hunting. In historical costume, he guides you through the exhibition rooms of Bebenhausen Castle and recounts the hunting traditions of the kings of Württemberg—above all those of King Wilhelm II, a passionate hunter.
Why hunting played such an important role for the last King of Württemberg, which prominent guests were invited to the state hunts in Schönbuch, and how Bebenhausen Castle became the center of royal hunting activities—participants will learn all of this firsthand. Queen Charlotte also gets her due: she brought her enthusiasm for hunting from her Bohemian homeland and played a significant role in shaping hunting life at court.
A lively costumed tour full of stories, anecdotes, and fascinating insights into court life centered around hunting.
