In the organizer's words:
The exhibition “What Do You Think About Feminism? / Cosa ne pensi del femminismo?” brings together photographic works from Austria and Italy and opens a cross-generational dialogue on feminist perspectives in art. On display are works from the 1960s to the present that view photography as a medium of self-assertion, resistance, and visibility.
The focus is on works that challenge social power structures, bring repressed stories to light, and open up new perspectives on the body, identity, and gender roles. The result is a multifaceted exhibition space in which feminist questions are presented not as a closed narrative, but as a living process of reflection, re-seeing, and further thought.
The exhibition is a collaboration between the Fotogalerie Wien and the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna.
