Are East Germans not capable of democracy?
Are there more Nazis in the East than in the West?
Is German history a West German history?
If you want to understand East Germany, you have to connect the time before, during and after the fall of the Wall and understand the connections. Without the events of the chaotic and brutal 1990s, it is impossible to understand the rise of right-wing and neo-Nazi groups and the success of right-wing populist parties in the present day. These years reach far into the present.
The workshop and discourse format "WAS IST DENN DA IM OSTEN LOS?" is an invitation from the artistic team of the Ost-Punk-Performance "WIR KRIEGEN EUCH ALLE!" to get into conversation with each other. With live music, participatory play moments and discussions, they create space to negotiate important questions together. Everyone who is interested in an open exchange is invited - participation is free of charge. Due to the limited number of places, please register via TigsforGigs, remaining places on site.
