in the series"UNZÄHMBAR - Theater & Concert for Peace" the Theaterschiff Potsdam is a guest at the French Church Potsdam

inspired by the book "We still have words" by George Salines, Azdynde Amimour

"What we still have are the words" is a documentary record of the conversations between two men who make peace with each other, even though their personal situation seems to make this peace impossible. One father lost his daughter in the 2015 attack on the Bataclan concert hall in Paris and the other father's son was one of the attackers. He was killed by the police. The father of the attacker approached the other father and they started talking to each other, sharing their stories, talking about their lost children, getting closer.

Director Nina Lorenz developed a theater collage about the conversations between the two fathers for two actors and a dancer, which deals with the hope for peaceful and unifying rather than divisive paths, mutual respect and the struggle for reconciliation and peace. The special thing about the evening is that it has a completely new format: a theater collage is combined with a concert. Everyone, musicians and actors, play together at eye level. Words meet sounds. Sounds meet words. Actors, dancers and musicians are connected, they communicate with each other. The Laccasax trio plays music, most of which was composed especially for this evening. Laccasax makes world music between classical, jazz, tango, folk, klezmer and new music. Gennady Tkachenko-Papizh, guest of the project, combines the vibrations of the earth, the soul, the sound and the word in a magical way with his voice.
