PARTICIPATION The workshop is open to all interested parties, but the number of participants for this workshop is limited and half of the places are reserved for our neighbors from Wedding. If you would like to take part, please register at workshop@savvy-contemporary.com with the subject "medicinal herbs" and tell us your name and where you live.

Medicinal herbs know no boundaries and tell their own stories that connect us beyond imposed borders. In the workshop, we want to share our knowledge about different medicinal plants with you and collect ideas for setting up an Open Interactive Pharmacy: What could a pharmacy in the middle of community gardens look like, where marginalized people have free access to teas, tinctures and ointments?

The focus is on the knowledge brought along about ways of dealing with trauma, grief and healing, as well as self-empowerment and self-determination over one's own health. In the practical part we will make an ointment and a tincture and sow, collect, dry wild plants and pack already dried ones into larger pharmacy containers.

The workshop is open to everyone. Children are also welcome.

FLAMINGO E.V. is a network for refugee women* and children from Berlin-Neukölln and deals with the topics of medicinal herbs, flight, migration and feminist communities within the transcultural medicinal herb garden "Hevrin Xelef", which has been established since 2019. The garden is a sister project with the women's village of Jinwar in north-east Syria. Here, seeds and knowledge about healing, trauma and grief are exchanged in communities.
