Kelena, Noelle, Vivi, and Sara have been friends since fifth grade. Sleepovers, girly pop, *Wilde Hühner*, and the patriarchy. They grow up together, encounter misogynistic violence, and fight both individually and collectively. Struggles that tear friendships apart and bring them closer together. Content Warning: Men.
Vivi’s birthday takes us back in time and brings us together again in the present. Old wounds reopen, and new ones are added.
How do we confront patriarchal structures in everyday life, both then and now? How do we strengthen our trust in ourselves and in one another?
A play about girlhood, friendship, and growing up in a patriarchal society.
