WDR radio is awarding the WDR Jazz Prize for the 22nd time. The list of prizewinners from NRW reads like a who's who of German jazz. One of the prizewinners' concerts
will take place in Gelsenkirchen in 2026. Without question also an award - in our opinion. What we will hear from this Grammy-winning ensemble, which is one of the world's best big bands, was still open at the time of going to press for our program, as the winner will not be announced until January. But what we do know: It will be an impressive concert in an impressive venue.
