Save the date: Weberwiese Kiezfest 2026

On June 13 , 2026, we will celebrate our Weberwiese Kiezfest for the fourth time in a row - and once again send a clear signal for our neighborhood!

This year, we are once again taking a firm stand against the sell-out and creeping decomposition of our neighborhood, driven by the gentrification machinery and purely profit-oriented real estate players such as White Tulip, 54 East, Residea Immobilienmanagement, Prints Immobilien and others. Our neighborhood is not an object of speculation - it lives from the people who live here and have their livelihood.

We cordially invite all neighbors and residents to come together for a day of exchange and neighborhood culture!

The developments in the Weberwiese milieu protection area - furnished temporary housing, misappropriation through vacancies and the successive sale of apartments - are increasingly endangering our established structures and displacing long-time residents. With the festival, we are taking a stand against anonymization and for cohesion in our neighbourhood, and drawing attention to scenarios that threaten our existence, such as terminations for personal use.

To mark the 70th anniversary of our ensemble, you can look forward to a guided tour of the history of Weberwiese, initiated by historian Wanja Abramowski(Friedrichshain History Association Hans Hohlhase e.V.), as well as a photo exhibition documenting the transformation of our buildings.
