Song recital with Burkhard Wegener

Singer-songwriter Burkhard Wegener will be coming to Theater Courage with his guitar on 12.04.2026 at 6 pm. Wegener has been touring throughout Germany with his songs for over 30 years and has now released five studio albums.
Inspired by musicians such as Reinhard Mey, Hannes Wader and Klaus Hoffmann, he is a singer-songwriter of the "old school".
With just guitar and vocals - this is how Wegener prefers to entertain his audience. As a lyricist, he has been an extraordinary GEMA member for several years.
Wegener has also received great attention for his modern Goethe settings ("Selige Sehnsucht") and his atmospheric Theodor Storm songs ("Es ist ein Flüstern").

"Putting everyday things into words is not always easy. Someone who accomplishes this feat is a pleasure to listen to. Burkhard Wegener is someone like that, who uses his songs and lyrics to illuminate reality in a sober and matter-of-fact, but also lyrical and imaginative way, creating a very personal atmosphere. Wegener also has a voice that is a pleasure to listen to. Added to this is his accomplished but always discreet guitar playing. The title song from his CD "Navigator" is about the desire to have such a device not only for geographical destinations, but for all areas of life. Even though most of the songs have a serious background, they are also performed with a wink. Unexpectedly, Wegener even garnishes his program with a joke or two. An evening of music to enjoy, to relax and to get excited about!"
