150 years of Wehringhausen as a district of Hagen and we invite everyone to join us!

A day of open doors, visible treasures and living neighborhood. Courtyards, stores, initiatives, studios and committed people from the neighborhood show what otherwise remains hidden: creative energy, sustainable ideas and a lively community in Wehringhausen.

The district will be transformed into a lively place of encounters, creativity and sustainability. The occasion for the new festival is a special anniversary: Wehringhausen was incorporated into Hagen exactly 150 years ago. This historic event will be celebrated with an open and communal district event that connects Wehringhausen's past, present and future.

For the first time, numerous places within the district will open their doors simultaneously on this day and invite you to rediscover Wehringhausen. Stores, associations, initiatives, studios and courtyards will provide insights into their work, their ideas and the people behind them - just like a big open day in the entire district. Visitors can stroll through Wehringhausen, get to know well-known and hidden places and discover how diverse, creative and committed the district is.

The tour is accompanied by small activities and hands-on offers: guided walks, workshops, lectures, music, art installations and culinary offerings create encounters and invite people to get into conversation with each other. In this way, small places of exchange, neighborhood and shared ideas for a sustainable future are being created at over 30 locations in the district.

A specially designed folding map will help people find the various locations and explore the diverse program in the district. This will be displayed and available at various locations shortly before the event.

Planned by the volunteer group "Kultur & Lifestyle" of the initiative "Klimapositives Wehringhausne" of Hatopia e.V. in cooperation with WirrWarr Wehringhausen as part of the project "Wilder Winkel Wehringhausen" of Kulturzentrum Pelmke e.V.
