With a sharp tongue, sharp humor and double-edged singing, the "Weeping Women" bring their view of the world to the stage.
In an exchange between everyday comedy and social criticism, they shed light on life, love and the need to be able to laugh at oneself.

Whether dating mishaps, toxic relationships or bizarre experiences in touring theater - accompanied by self-composed songs and newly interpreted folk songs, this cabaret guarantees an evening full of laughs, cheeky punchlines and unexpected aha moments.

Weinende Weiber & Gesang is a humorous, satirical cabaret piece that focuses on the experiences and challenges of modern life from the perspective of women.
With a mix of songs, anecdotes and pointed dialog, it highlights experiences from life as an actress, gender clichés and the (mostly frustrating) modern dating routine. The line between tragedy and comedy is skillfully blurred.
In an often absurd way, the "women" comment on reality and deal with the crises they have experienced with relish. It's about falconers, burning tractors and partnerships, after the end of which one could easily open a psychotherapeutic practice.

The common thread here is the music that accompanies this wonderful evening. With a mixture of folk songs and specially composed works, the play is underscored with catchy melodies and humorous lyrics.
The songs range from personal experiences in everyday life to absurd experiences at medieval markets.

All in all, Weinende Weiber & Gesang invites the audience to laugh together about life and love, to reflect and to recognize themselves in one or two of the stories.

Collective Gedankensprung

is an association of freelance artists consisting of actors, dramaturges, directors and authors who combine their joint expertise for their own productions in order to create high-quality, audience-oriented art.

All of the texts, songs and choreography for their productions come from the collective pen. At most, the occasional old folk song is mixed in.
