In the organizer's words:

Recognizing Abuse in Long-Term Care and Resolving Conflicts Effectively

👩🏻‍⚕️Caregiving can push you to your personal limits. Stress, feeling overwhelmed, or illness can change behavior—both in yourself and in the person you’re caring for.

🚨Violence often begins earlier than many people realize. It doesn’t start with physical assaults, but rather with hurtful words, pressure, neglect, or situations in which those involved feel helpless.

In this seminar, you’ll learn to recognize critical situations early on and take timely action to address them. You’ll discover what can trigger aggressive behavior, what warning signs to look for, and how to resolve conflicts calmly and nonviolently. ✅

Together, you’ll also take a look at your personal experience with stress and your own boundaries. You’ll learn helpful strategies for managing stress and find out what support services are available and who you can turn to if you need help.

👉🏼This seminar is designed for anyone who cares for a family member in need of care, volunteers in the caregiving field, is personally affected by caregiving, or wants to learn how to deal with challenging situations in everyday caregiving.

The seminar series consists of four sessions :
