Booming sounds in your stomach, ringing silence, the vibration of the cello on your skin - when does listening become a physical experience?
Whoever wants to hear must feel is looking for approaches to how classical music can be conceived as an immersive experience.
Research will be conducted on music from L. v. Beethoven to Deep Listening Excersises according to Pauline Oliveros with the aim of indulging in unique listening situations by amplifying vibration, exploring undefined pitches and other visual phenomena created by sound - an evening for the whole body!
Whether you have a background in classical music or not, the KonzertLAB provides exciting concert designs, new perspectives on classical music and space for exchange and experimentation.
Young musicians from the TONALi Stage Academy develop a new concert format in the laboratory for artistic-social concert design in a residency lasting several days and then perform it.
We present an interim or final result of this work phase in the TONALi SAAL, provide insights into the development process and then discuss what has been experienced.
All formats will be performed again as part of the KonzertLab Festival from April 21 - 24, 2026.
