Werder Slam: Zwischen Ziegeln und Zeilen.
In the organizer's words:
Between Lines and Bricks – Poetry Slam for the Land of Tomorrow invites you in 2026 to rediscover Brandenburg’s towns and villages. Six poetry slams will bring young voices to places where history, change, and the future converge: in former industrial halls, monasteries, health resorts, on a floating stage—and at the historic post mill in Werder (Havel). Under the shared theme “What Is Tomorrow Made Of?”, these evenings will be filled with ideas, visions, and surprising perspectives.
On September 17, 2026, the historic post mill will become an open-air stage for new ideas and powerful texts. Look forward to an open-air poetry slam in a special atmosphere—with a view of one of the region’s most beautiful cultural landmarks. As always, the audience decides which poems will win the evening. People of all ages are invited to help shape the future—in an accessible, collaborative, and energetic way. Admission to the mill grounds is, of course, included!
Important notes: The event takes place outdoors. So feel free to bring a picnic blanket or a camping chair and make yourself comfortable. It’s also picnic-style: Please bring your own drinks—there’s no bar on site.
The project is organized by the Stift & Mikro association, together with the SlamKollektiv Eberswalde and the Kiezpoeten from Berlin.
Sponsored by “Von hier aus Zukunft” from Kulturland Brandenburg, Sparkasse Barnim, Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse, and the Barnim district.
