We're not dead yet - I Fagiolini at 40
I Fagiolini (Great Britain)
Italian name, English group, boundary-breaking vocal art: I Fagiolini, the "little beans", are characterized by top-class singing as well as great humour and extraordinary creativity. Robert Hollingworth's ensemble is now in its 40th season and, in addition to "classical" concerts, has also realized a variety of cross-genre and interdisciplinary projects that flirt with film, dance, puppets or circus, among other things, and thus constantly rethink the vocal music of the Renaissance and Baroque. After 2008, I Fagiolini is back at the festival for the second time and in its anniversary year is offering a program of personal repertoire favourites with showpieces from the European Renaissance to Monteverdi as well as modern and contemporary a cappella gems. More than promising!
