Where the fuck is Cospuden? From dredging hole to bathing lake: immerse yourself in the history of Cospuden.
The water laps against the shore, the wind rustles through the leaves, music blares from the beach bar. Today, the Cossi is one of Leipzig's most popular places to swim and relax - but that wasn't always the case. Until the 1990s, where we swim and relax today was a deep, dark brown coal mining hole. The traces of Cospuden have disappeared, but the questions remain: What stories are hidden here? What was life and work like in the mine - and what happened to the people after it was closed? What is "Stop Cospuden" all about? What would have happened if the Zwenkau/Cospuden open-cast mine had never existed?
The performative audio walk SEENSUCHT follows the traces of these lost places and also allows thoughts of Lützerath. Will a recreational area be created there one day? Will people bathe in the "Garzi" in a few decades' time - just as we do today in the "Cossi"?
A search for clues between past, present and future.
The audio walk takes place in the open air. Please remember to bring appropriate sun and rain protection (cap, sunscreen, rain jacket).
