Better a stallion parade than a military parade. Or even better: hit parade! Where Hossa Nova is at home and The Girl from Ibbenbüren is played up and down at every Schützenfest - as a remnant of the Schützenfest - bodytalk discover a new La La Land: Westphalia. Their musical doesn't need the City of Angels as a backdrop; the magic unfolds between agriculture and inbreeding, customs and abuse in the provinces. Province? Pro tiny! Here, no mess is too small for the stage, oh no: the pig is the star! For example in the Sausage Committee: an organization of pigs that was founded to protect love and peace. And where, as a mourning ritual, a sausage is eaten for every life lost. Sounds cannibalistic - and it is. WESTFALEN SIDE STORY invites you to a big musical slaughter festival. People and animals sing and dance, barbecue and ask themselves: Is life just something you can eat? Hossa!
