** The sensation! "WHITE ZOMBIE" - a legendary, rare, bizarre trash-vampyr silent movie with Bela Lugosi ("Bela Lugosi Dead" by Bauhaus is interpreted appropriately for the encore) returns to the big screen - and gets a completely new sound!
The celebrated Kiwi & Kraut musicians and scene greats of the project band of Berlin/New Zealand icon TTGeigenschrey: Sonic Inkraut: electric violinist TT Geigenschrey, Pyrolator (Kurt Dahlke), bassist Diego Ferri and drummer Chris Hughes provide the soundtrack live and transform a cinematic cult work into a unique total work of art made of image & sound.
The musical spectrum ranges from indie, lo-fi, kraut and garage violin blues rock to experimental avant-garde sounds - always away from the usual clichés.
The band has mastered the fine art of improvisation and lends every film a fresh, captivating musical dimension far removed from well-trodden film scores.
Instead of setting well-known silent films such as "Nosferatu" or "Metropolis" to music, TT Geigenschrey:Sonic Inkraut focuses on surprising film classics and innovative soundtracks that transport the audience into new worlds of sound. You can vote for the movie here.
The TT Geigenschrey Sonic Inkraut (FilmLiveKrautrockSoundtrack) band will be making a guest appearance with a performance that goes far beyond the usual. Under the direction of TThomthom Geigenschrey, a fixture of the Berlin and international (and New Zealand) music scene, film art and live Krautrock merge to create a unique overall experience.
The current line-up for the evening at the Kulturbahnhof Biesenthal is a real all-star ensemble:
- TT GEIGENSCHREY - Electric violin, viola and effects, Berlin and NZL icon, known from bands like Faust, Bats, Sundae Painters, Embryo, Pictures, Sulphur and Artwork/Goethes Erben, Tangerine Dream environment.
- KURT DAHLKE - Düsseldorf synthesizer magician (Pyrolator, Der Plan, Fehlfarben, formerly D.A.F.)
