In the organizer's words:

"In pulica commoda!" "For the good of all!" This is how people have greeted each other in the free city of Landsburg for decades. Once a thriving town that had risen from the rubble, where values such as harmony, freedom, equality, solidarity and hospitality were practiced. But the ravages of time have long been gnawing away at the political system. Nasty boils have formed, which is reflected in the excessive bureaucracy and the ever-growing set of rules of the Protocol. In addition, the visionary founding father Professor Dr. Hagenow appears increasingly confused. Today, shortly before its 40th anniversary, Landsburg seems doomed. What next?

Harmonie Major General Marie Schmitz has been loyal to the professor since early childhood. She refuses to accept her mentor's apparent decline. She puts her heart and soul into preserving the value system in Landsburg. She is supported in this by the hard-working Kim Schumann from the administration department. Captain Harvey Thomas is striving for urgent reform of the system. There simply has to be stronger and tougher enforcement. The fact that illegal border crosser Eva Biel, for example, is not deported but simply taken in annoys him deeply. Private Jano Winterfeld dutifully does his best, but he rarely succeeds in catching the crazy, chaotic explosives expert Dr. Alea Amentis. It remains a mystery whether Fiona Steinbach's friendly manner is just a façade and what plans the Minister for Culture, Social Affairs and Sport is really pursuing. Dr. Angela White couldn't care less about the future of Landsburg; she lives exclusively for her chemical experiments. Loner and anarchist Pierre Duchamp thinks nothing of the system. However, his no-nonsense attitude only changes when the wild Rose emerges from the underground. She is looking for her sister and wants to form a resistance against the system.

Widerstand zwecklos is a dystopian play about the loss of values, lack of freedom, dictates, the need to control, manipulation, threats and violence. A distorted look into the mirror of the future of our time.

The twelve-member ensemble Theater Linsensuppe formed in September 2024 as part of the Freedom theater project of the Protestant Youth Hanover and developed, produced and staged the play Resistance pointless in a collective process.
