Wie man sich mit Geistern anfreundet – eine Séance mit Klanggespenstern

Wie man sich mit Geistern anfreundet – eine Séance mit Klanggespenstern

In the organizer's words:

"How to make friends with spirits" is a séance in which sound spirits are conjured up and made to vibrate. Cosima Gerhardt leads the evening with her cello to establish contact with the musical afterlife, supported by a score in the form of cards simulating a tarot deck. A modular synthesizer accompanies the performance as an animated object. Its pre-programmed electronic algorithms are executed automatically, even if they are lightly controlled by Joaquin Macedo. Cosima Gerhardt's performance with the cello is recorded, processed and played back in real time.

This is followed by a short presentation by Joaquin Macedo. He will talk about the production process and some of the artistic and technical aspects of the piece, addressing both a specialist audience and anyone else who is interested.
