"The man talks you dizzy - and has been doing so for over 30 years.

Born in the Rhineland, he does cabaret in its purest form. He takes on life, society and politics in all their facets and focuses on the human condition in order to get to grips with it artistically. He is driven to get to the bottom of things, to see through them, to clarify them and make them explainable.

He answers questions with counter-questions that prove how ambivalent our society is, the contradictions in which we live and that nothing we take for granted is self-evident.

When he speaks - or rather fires off verbal machine-gun salvos - he simultaneously gesticulates with his hands as if he were conducting his cabaret acts for the audience. He is and makes you breathless, sometimes you want to let his mental leaps run in slow motion so that you can follow his analysis just as razor-sharp.

The 66-year-old is an admonisher, angry and compassionate at the same time, highly emotional and yet always dissecting with great precision. His standards of morality and truth are high - but you always get the impression that he himself lives up to them at all times. In addition to all the furor, you can always sense his love of comedy, play and language. He particularly enjoys playing female characters, be it Angela Merkel, Loki Schmidt, Carmen Geiss or the Queen. He smoothly combines the political and the everyday, ranting about corrupt politicians as well as bigoted petty bourgeois.
