Winterlichter im Lapidarium

In the organizer's words:

Light. Sound. Magic in the secret garden.

This winter, the Municipal Lapidarium once again invites you to experience the secret garden in a special light. The artistic winter installation "Winter Lights in the Lapidarium" will once again transform the historic sculpture garden into a magical interplay of light and shadow.

This year, an auditory level has been added to the concept: gentle sounds and audio tracks interweave with the light compositions and allow the garden to be experienced as a living resonance space. The harmonious combination of art and nature in combination with special light and atmospheric sound create a calm, almost magical mood. Visitors can be enchanted by this special staging and enjoy the winter tranquillity in the Municipal Lapidarium in a very special way.

From November 29, 2025 to January 18, 2026, the Municipal Lapidarium will open its doors on weekends - Fridays to Sundays, from 5 to 8 pm.

You are welcome to bring your own lanterns and flashlights; a limited number of lanterns are available to borrow on site (first come, first served).

As last year, the centerpiece of the installation is the artistic light lab, a collaboration between the Stuttgart light and media artists lichtgestalten, Simon Wallenda and Maximilian Luz. Together they create a sensual experience between art and nature - a place where light, shadow and sound merge in poetic harmony.

Tip: Please wear warm clothing and sturdy shoes - some of the paths are unpaved.

Opening
