"Sawdust Symphony"
DIY circus

Sawing, drilling, hammering, planing - a symphony of craftsmanship. The smell of fresh wood and flying sawdust characterize this unusual circus piece. It tells of the human desire for occupation, the process from the first vision to the finished workpiece, the tragedy of work and the relationship between machine and man. Three obsessed individuals discover and transform their space and themselves to share a unique DIY experience with the audience. "Sawdust Symphony" is an intense dialog somewhere between satisfaction and frustration.

Michael Zandl, David Eisele and Kolja Huneck met while studying at the Codarts Circus Arts school in Rotterdam. During the creation process of their individual solo pieces "Janus", "Cycle" and "CM_30", they discovered their passion for building and craftsmanship. This passion for tools and machines brought them together and allowed them to create "Sawdust Symphony" as a collective with complementary artistic approaches.
