"WIR KRIEGEN EUCH ALLE!" Ost-Punk-Performance in der Stasi-Zentrale Berlin-Lichtenberg

A performance about the last days of the GDR and the chaotic and violent years that followed reunification: the "baseball bat years". Five GDR punk musicians from well-known bands such as Die Firma, Ichfunktion, Herbst in Peking, L'Attentat, Wutanfall, The Inchtabokatables, Rosengarten and B.Crown describe their experiences at the headquarters of the Ministry of State Security (MfS) in Berlin-Lichtenberg. They span an arc of time from the Nazi era to the present day. It gets loud, it gets wild, it gets tender! Dancing is allowed! They tell of non-conformity and resistance, of prison and oblivion, of elation and experienced violence, of fears and powerlessness, of the loss of trust in state power and of resistance against the right. Inevitably, these experiences cast shadows on the current political reality. In a mixture of punk concert and research theater, the play closes a memory gap in the historiography of Germany as a whole.

The guest performances will be accompanied by the workshop and discourse format "WAS IST DENN DA IM OSTEN LOS?" on October 18, 6:30 pm. With live music, participatory play moments and discussions, the artistic team of "WIR KRIEGEN EUCH ALLE!" will create a space to negotiate important questions together.
