Witch'n'Monk & Merzouga Double Duo Electro-acoustic fluid form show

In the organizer's words:

Witch'n'Monk (Berlin) will be making a guest appearance in Cologne with music from their upcoming album "Outfox", a collection of tracks that is not yet complete and will be added to on a monthly basis. It can be promised that the duo's live show will be fed by the energy of teasing and rediscovery and will leave genre boundaries behind. With their previous productions (including an acclaimed album for John Zorn's Tzadik label and a live score for the Oscar-nominated film "Embrace Of The Serpent"),singer and guitarist Heidi Heidelberg and Colombian-born flautist Mauricio Velasierra have formulated a musical declaration of independence - with traces of prog rock, punk, folk, opera, jazz and electronics.

The duo Merzouga (Cologne) composes radiophonic sound art and has been producing elaborate radio broadcasts for Deutschlandradio Kultur and Deutschlandfunk for years, as well as music for film, theater and radio plays (multiple awards, including the "Prix Marulić"). Electric bassist Janko Hanushevsky and computer musician and sound engineer Eva Pöpplein have performedtheir sound installations at venues including the Humboldt Forum Berlin, the Schnütgen Museum Cologne and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Merzouga are represented on the currently released third edition of the "Noise Of Cologne" sampler compiled by Frank Dommert (a-musik, 674FM) and Dirk Specht with the track "Versuch über das Licht".
