A weekly market has been supplying locals with fresh food from the surrounding area since the Middle Ages. Today, Lüneburg's weekly market is not only a source of culinary and regional delights, it is also simply good for the soul: colorful market activity in the middle of Lüneburg's historic backdrop, friendly people and relaxed chats are an experience that no one should miss.

Every Thursday from 08:00 to 13:00 there is a small weekly market in the Kreideberg district on Thorner Platz. Here you will also find a small selection of regional and culinary products. Everything from fruit, vegetables, meat and baked goods to fish is on offer.
