In the organizer's words:
Discover the market in the heart of Bochum Wattenscheid - surrounded by historic buildings, such as the Provost Church of St. Gertrude of Brabant, or a wide variety of shopping facilities, such as the Gertrudiscenter. Since 1989, the rope wheel has been enthroned in the middle of the large town square, commemorating the mining history of the Bochum district. Every week, the market with its fresh fruit and vegetables from the region, delicious home-made specialties and international offerings finds its place between the historical sights.
