The Karmelitermarkt is just a few minutes' walk from the old town. From Schwedenplatz, cross the Danube Canal and you are in the Karmeliterviertel, the heart of which is the Karmelitermarkt. This classic district market had become somewhat quiet until it was revitalized in recent years with more and more restaurants, studios and galleries. Friday and Saturday with farmers' market.
