The Berlin-based company CannaBau-Technik GbR has extensive experience and expertise in the field of ecological construction methods, particularly in the use of hemp lime. The team around the founders Gökcan Güney (Dipl. Tech. Process Engineering/ Environmental Protection Technology) and Roger Dauer (architect and co-founder of the Hemp Building Collective) and Maximilian Fritzsch (B.Sc. Business Administration) has been involved in the research and development of insulation and building materials made from hemp and lime since 2019. Together with Sven Hänichen, they developed a semi-automatic machine in 2021 for the mobile and regional production of hemp lime bricks for use in old building renovations and new construction projects with the aim of producing a wide range of hemp lime products in various formats, such as bricks and slabs.
