WORKSHOP: MELANCHOLIC MARATHON - CINDY HAMMER / GO PLASTIC COMPANY (DRESDEN/LEIPZIG)

In this workshop, Cindy Hammer from the go plastic company offers an insight into her movement research and the process of developing the piece MELANCHOLIC MARATHON.
As part of her "TANZPAKT in residence" at LOFFT - DAS THEATER last year, she dealt intensively with the topic of melancholy and the development of the performance MELANCHOLIC MARATHON. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the material she has developed using texts, images and movements. The intensive examination of melancholy, its localization and constitution in the body and in movement are at the heart of this research and form the focus of this workshop.
During the two hours, Cindy Hammer will first provide insights into the project and the associated research. This is followed by a comprehensive physical warm-up, followed by a longer phase in which the participants approach various thematic concepts and motifs through dance and improvisation. They will explore how these approaches can be translated into movement systems.
The workshop is aimed at people aged 12 and over who have experience in dance and bodywork. The workshop will be held in German and English.
