In the organizer's words:

What is behind the mysterious qubits and quantum entanglement?

In this interactive workshop, participants will gain a playful insight into the mathematical principles that make quantum computers possible, without any prior knowledge.

Two specially developed computer games will be used in the workshop: an adventure game and an arcade puzzler. Both were specially designed for arcade machines in the "QuantumArcade" project and make central concepts of quantum computing such as quantum gates, superposition and entanglement tangible.

The games are offered both on arcade machines and at individual game stations. Playing and reflecting together creates a new, vivid perspective on the functioning and potential of quantum computers, for young people and adults alike.

You can look forward to surprising mathematical connections, exciting insights into a future technology and, of course, video games.

Workshop leader:

• Karla Schön is a PhD student in mathematical physics and researches quantum mechanics and the description of many-body systems.
• Dr. Oliver Schön is a physicist and received his doctorate in relativity theory after studying mathematics and physics.
