How do you actually set up a professional studio? 📸🎥💡
This workshop isn’t about perfect pictures—it’s about the practical work behind the scenes. Together with studio owner and photographer JP. Baldus, you’ll learn the basic workflows and techniques used daily in studio productions.
The focus is clearly on hands-on work: setting up tripods, mounting light modifiers , hanging backdrops, using grip equipment, positioning lights, and understanding how a functional studio setup comes together. We’ll also cover tethering and why it’s so valuable to work with it in the studio.
You’ll work with the equipment yourself and set up and reconfigure various setups together.
Workshop Topics:
– Setting up continuous light and flash setups
– Working with softboxes, reflectors, and light modifiers
–Background systems & paper rolls
– Tripods, C-stands, and grip basics
– Working with universal clamps, Cardellini clamps, and sandbags
– Power, cable management, and safety on set
– Practical studio workflows
–Working Independently with Professional Equipment
