Playing LEVEL 42

As an answer to the American funk of the 70s with bands like Mothers Finest, Rick James, The Bros. Johnson, EW&F, Chic and many more, the wave of "Brit Funk" reached the mainland in the early 80s. And, with its pinnacle LEVEL 42, it also produced a worthy cult band of the genre.

With early dancefloor gems such as "Love Games", "Starchild" and "The Sun Goes Down", their international breakthrough came with the later singles "Hot Water", "Running in the Family" and "Lessons in Love". LEVEL 42 around frontman and bass icon Mark King are now in their fifth decade, unfortunately only very rarely live in Germany.

WORLDMACHINE, named after the band's album of the same name, are four accomplished gentlemen from the district of Lüneburg, who bring a colorful "best off" cocktail of the good 42 funk mood to the stage with a love of detail. Above all Sven Lymont, who more than does justice to his great hero with bass AND (!) vocals.
