Musical drama about Till Eulenspiegel

What happens when thinking becomes dangerous?
When sins are washed with money and the way to heaven can be bought?
And when words cut sharper than any sword?

In this musical drama, we accompany Till Eulenspiegel on his journey from carefree tightrope walker to uncomfortable fool in an unjust world. After the brutal execution of his father, Till finds himself in a time of upheaval: peasant uprisings, ecclesiastical abuse of power, political arbitrariness and social hardship characterize the early 16th century.

With sharp wit, mockery and courage, Till confronts the authorities - princes, clergy and all those who claim power over truth. But his laughter comes at a high price: friendship, love and ultimately his freedom are at stake.

"Words are my sword" combines drama, music, song, dance and acrobatics to create a multi-layered theatrical experience. Historical events go hand in hand with timeless questions about taking responsibility, courage and the courage to name injustices.
