We are bursting with ideas. We have no scruples and do not shy away from criticism. We are bibliophile microorganisms that form a macrocosm. We are constantly on the move. We love individuality.
Come on in, our doors are always open and our windows have no glass, because we want to hear what is being said!
Wortwerk Erlangen is a writers' group and open text workshop and is now an established institution in the Middle Franconian cultural landscape. The poems, short stories and novels of our members are published by large and small publishers regionally, throughout Germany and beyond, and members of the group have also been awarded literary prizes several times. We regularly organize readings and create creative projects, sometimes together with other authors and/or musicians. This means that we can be found on a wide variety of stages and cultural events. In the past, we have been seen and heard at the Poetenfest; at the public libraries in Erlangen, Forchheim and Jena; at Kunst auf der Couch; at Kulturkessel; at KUNO; at AEG and at Rooftop Stories in Fürth.
Wortwerk currently regularly invites people to readings at the E-werk Kellerbühne, where we perform our texts on selected topics.

Wortwerk offers a forum to enable young authors and text artists to develop further - because writing in particular requires fair and critical comparison in order to be able to orientate oneself and assess one's own abilities. We represent all styles and literary genres. We also work on and with texts by our members and guests and edit them. Take part - even without texts - to inspire yourself and us.
